Some of you know about the name, some of you dont, so Ill make a quick rundown of where this name came from.
Last year I bought a 1977 Ford Maverick for $200, this is how it looked when I drove it home:
<a href="http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=445059692&albumID=1022124&imageID=9535632"><img src="http://hotlink.myspacecdn.com/images02/97/07a5c36def074c128815bcab297ff6e8/m.jpg" alt=""></a><a href="http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=445059692&albumID=1022124&imageID=9535628"><img src="http://hotlink.myspacecdn.com/images02/70/58dca1ba5a5f4ab2856b8eacee5b0e7f/m.jpg" alt="What the interior looked like when I bought it"></a>
After driving it around for a while people started asking me "Why a Maverick? Why not an older Mustang?", the reasoning behind owning a Maverick is because you go to a car show you'll see 50-60 mustangs that looks exactly the same...bleh...where you're lucky if you see a few Mavericks, if any at all...some people Ive talked to thought it was a Nova
Anyways, I started working on it...here are some progress pics:
<a href="http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=445059692&albumID=1022124&imageID=9535760"><img src="http://hotlink.myspacecdn.com/images02/83/a3ddb1c8585c42c7bce5b3d0d0b91cfc/m.jpg" alt=""></a><a href="http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=445059692&albumID=1022124&imageID=9535792"><img src="http://hotlink.myspacecdn.com/images02/110/0598668ac4d6423192913ed80bf789ed/m.jpg" alt="EEwwwww, I hate TAN"></a>
After I got a lot of the body work done and interior work I threw it in primer(also got me some new wheels, front ones were waiting for tires).
<a href="http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=445059692&albumID=1022124&imageID=9535856"><img src="http://hotlink.myspacecdn.com/images02/72/4c4e14bbbb27485195de0beff63fc6f4/m.jpg" alt=""></a><a href="http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=445059692&albumID=1022124&imageID=9535807"><img src="http://hotlink.myspacecdn.com/images02/90/5c99c9bbf6bd41c18c325d45e4a68c74/m.jpg" alt=""></a>
After a while I got tired of the primer, that and someone told me leaving a car in primer will hold rainwater, so I through a quick temporary paint job on it

Now that its winter Ive torn it down and going to replace the engine with a 302 (tranny thats in it now is bad), Im also going to hide all the wires and re-do the entire engine compartment.

Not much of a Ford fan, but that's a nice little project you got there.
I'd plop a 351 in that little pony. _________________

I would if I could afford it...lol for now the I6 has to stay there.
Even to convert it to a 302 would cost me about $500 in parts, a lot of money when you have a family...Ill get it done eventually. _________________ Player Details
