I dont understand how someone can hit me 3 times with a pistol(or any low power weapon) and kill me(no headshot) but I cant kill anyone else within 10-15 shots with any weapon except the bow...what am I doing wrong?

I was told to go for the head that it causes more damage, but its hard to hit a moving target, as Im sure its hard for even experienced players to get a head shot with the enemy bouncing around.

And other then that, whats the best way to switch between weapons faster? Im assuming signing a key to them is faster, but which keys work the best?

Lots of questions, I know, but these 2 things are the most frustrating...seems like Ill sit there and shoot someone 10-15 times and they shoot me twice with the same weapon with my health at 100 and Im dead.

Well, the only weapons I have bound is the Gravity Gun - G key, and the Stunstick - Q key. I think the Gravity Gun is automatically bound to your G key anyway.

For all the other weapons, I use the scroll wheel on the mouse.

As for the aiming thing, it takes time and it is difficult to do on moving targets. About 5/6 of my mag shots miss the target, so I'm still trying to learn that damn thing.

Try launching barrels into the air and then shooting them while they fly. Then try shooting them in the air when you're moving as well.

Yeah, I'm with Avatar on the two weapons that I have 'binded.' Only, I changed all the keys, and I grouped the ones I use most frequently in a close cluster so I only have to move my fingers slightly to get what I want.

This would be my practice regimen:

1) Practice / become well versed in the ways of the grav gun

2) Practice launching nades with the grav gun

3) Play often.

Put Your GGun on side mouse.

Bind all your weapons around the movement keys.
I move reload and use to the right and populate shotty mag and bow right there.

Pistol is a great weapon. It doesn't recoil like mag.
Its all about health if you have 50 and i pop 5 or 6 shots into you, you die.
Its as simple as running out of health.

I pop nades with scroll back, its quick.
If you scroll weapons, you are taking too much time.
Having said that, Sunsnail scrolls and he is a great player.

Remember this: The bow does 100 damage. If they have any suit, say 30, they will survive one hit.
Always finish the bow shot with smg, shotty, or pistol.

A Mag headshot kills instantly, no matter how much, 100h and 200 suit, whatever. Its a powerful weapon.

The shotty should be used close.
The best players combine movement to close in fast and strafe to add damage.
And they ALWAYS control health and Super Charger, like in LD.
They are hard to kill because they are loaded with health and suit armor.
The solution is SPAM, an orb will fix that.
A couple of nade, boom out go the lights.
Or become a mag whore.
Boom Headshot.

Some Mag whores are feared players, to say the least.

Thanks for all the advice, I think Ill start readjusting binds also...most of the time I die Im busy scrolling through weapons, so thats probably my biggest issue.

I only have a standard 2 button wheel mouse...perhaps I should invest in a new mouse along with a video card...lol

You don't have to have a new mouse. All of my stuff is boring and standard. No gaming pieces or anything and I seem to make do.

And I don't use the supercharger or any charger for that matter. I spend my time alive killing whoever I can.

If you use the scroll wheel like me, make sure you have fast weapon switch on and you should be good to go.
